The Turkish elections are just around the corner
Will they rock the already fragile Turkish lira, or will they send it soaring?
The Turkish central bank has been playing it safe recently,as it chose not to hike interest rates so close to the elections. The lira “seems to be free of the risk of a premature cut ahead of the local elections” noted economist Inan Demir, but international tensions may change that.

The tensions between the US and Turkey over Syria continue to sizzle, and the end result is anybody’s game at this point. With a 2% boost this month, the lira just may surprise traders.
